Connecting AI apps like Claude
Already work in an AI assistant such as Claude? Connect it to your ainocrm account and ask it about your pipeline, or tell it about a call, without switching apps. It works as you: it sees and changes only what you could in ainocrm yourself.
- Who
- Your admin, then each person for themselves
- Where
- Settings › Organization › Features › AI apps
- Until then
- Off. Connecting from an AI app stops at "AI apps are switched off".
What it is
Claude is the first app you can connect: on the web, in the desktop and phone apps, in Claude Code and in Cowork. Other assistants are to follow. Each person connects their own app with their own ainocrm sign-in, and can disconnect it at any time.
Inside ainocrm nothing changes: Aino is still there, and a call the other app logs shows up on the opportunity like one you told Aino about. For technical readers: ainocrm works with any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors.
For admins: switching it on
Open Settings › Organization › Features and switch on AI apps. That only allows people to connect; nobody is connected until they do it themselves. Switch it off again and every connected app stops working until it is back on.
Features
Optional features for the whole organization. Each one is off until you switch it on; switching one off keeps what it has recorded.
AI apps
Let people connect AI assistants such as Claude to their ainocrm account. Each person signs in and allows access themselves, and the assistant sees and changes only what their role allows. Connections are listed and revoked under Settings › Connected apps.
Connecting Claude
- In Claude, open Settings › Connectors. Pick ainocrm from the directory if it is listed there; otherwise choose Add custom connector, name it ainocrm and give it this URL:
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organization may need to add the connector first.https://api.ainocrm.com/mcp - Press Connect. Claude opens the ainocrm sign-in. Sign in as you always do, with the emailed code if your account asks for one.
- ainocrm shows what Claude will be able to do, and where Allow sends you back to. Check that it is your account ("Signed in as…"), then press Allow.
- You are back in Claude. Ask it something about your opportunities.
Connect Claude
Claude wants to work with your ainocrm data as you.claude.ai
It will be able to
- See your accounts, contacts, opportunities and tasks
- Log activity and make changes on your behalf
You will be sent back to claude.ai.You can revoke this any time in Settings › Connected apps.
Signed in as alice@example.com. Not you? Sign out
A connector added on the web also shows up in the Claude desktop and phone apps under the same Claude account. In Claude Code, add it from the terminal and then sign in with /mcp:
claude mcp add --transport http ainocrm https://api.ainocrm.com/mcpThings to try once it is connected:
What it can and can't do
| Look up | Change |
|---|---|
| Find opportunities; show one with its brief: last contact, who has and hasn't been involved, follow-ups, next meeting | Log a call, meeting or email |
| Every account, by name; show one in full: its details, contacts, opportunities and latest research | Update an opportunity: stage, value, discount, close date |
| Contacts by name, email or company, on an opportunity or not | Record a lost reason, set a renewal date, add, change or remove products |
| Archived opportunities and your open tasks | Set contact roles, update contact and account details, mark a contact as left, add key people from an account's research as contacts |
| The sales process and the product catalog | Create and complete tasks |
| Pipeline report, forecast, targets and at-risk opportunities | Archive and restore opportunities, merge duplicate opportunities and companies (after asking you), undo a document recorded as signed by mistake |
| Focus and reference wins, when those features are on | Edit a win summary and, when public references are on, mark a customer as a reference |
| Opportunities without an owner (admins) | Hand an opportunity or account to a new owner (leaders within their team, admins anyone) |
Not from an AI app: deleting opportunities, editing the sales process or the product catalog, automations, targets, switching account ownership on or off, and your language or notification settings. Do those in ainocrm.
By role
The app has exactly your rights, the same as in ainocrm (see Who can see what):
| Role | What a connected app can do |
|---|---|
| Salesperson | Look up and change your own opportunities; look up accounts and contacts. As on an account's page in ainocrm, an account in full lists everyone's opportunities on it. |
| Leader | The same for your own and your team's opportunities, and hand them, or accounts, to yourself or your team. |
| Executive | Look up everything you can see; the only change is completing your own tasks. |
| Admin | Whatever your sales role allows on opportunities, plus seeing opportunities without an owner and handing opportunities and accounts to anyone. Being an admin adds no settings powers here: the sales process, catalog and other settings stay in ainocrm. |
AI usage
What the other app does in ainocrm doesn't use your daily allowance, unless what it asks for runs ainocrm's own AI. That is counted as usual and shown as Connected AI apps on the Usage page (see Usage & billing). The other app's own use is between you and that app.
Privacy and disconnecting
- You choose the app. Whatever you ask it to read in ainocrm is sent to that app and handled under its provider's terms. ainocrm doesn't receive your conversations with the app, only the requests it makes to ainocrm.
- Private stays private. It works as you, so your colleagues' chats, tasks and inbox stay out of reach as always. It can't read your chats with Aino either.
- Every request is recorded in the admins' AI audit log.
- Disconnect any time under Settings › Connected apps: Revoke cuts the app off at once. Changing your password disconnects every connected app. Removing the connector in Claude stops Claude using it; revoke it in ainocrm too.

Troubleshooting
"AI apps are switched off"
Your workspace hasn't switched the feature on. Press Go back, ask an admin to switch on AI apps under Settings › Organization, then connect again. An admin can switch it on there and connect straight after.
AI apps are switched off
Your workspace hasn’t switched on AI apps yet, so Claude can’t connect. Ask an admin to switch on AI apps under Settings › Organization.
It connected to the wrong ainocrm account
The consent page says who you are signed in as; Not you? Sign out lets you switch before you allow. Already allowed? Revoke it under Settings › Connected apps in that account, disconnect it in Claude, and connect again signed in as the right person.
It can look things up but can't log or change anything
Either your role doesn't allow the change (an executive, or another team's opportunity), or the app was given only "See your accounts, contacts, opportunities and tasks". Settings › Connected apps shows what each app may do. To give it more, revoke it, disconnect it in Claude and connect again, allowing both.
It worked yesterday and now it doesn't
You changed your password, someone switched AI apps off, or the app was revoked. Connect it again from Claude.
